A room with a view. Take a house with a smaller multi-room floor plan
and
open it up. Task at hand. First off the bar was removed and a
granite-topped island was added. Old dark cabinets in the kitchen are
now a
fresh white with a marble back splash. An ornate range hood was also added
to add to the look. The great room started with removing the fireplace
completely and behind it where there use to be a hallway, added three
more
feet to the room. The walls and the bar that use to separate the kitchen
are gone and steel beams were used for support. Now the kitchen flows
directly into the family room. Out back an old screen porch was glassed
in
and now provides a place for year-round entertainment. Small windows were
replaced with large floor to ceiling ones to enhance the view. So now,
instead of just a room with a view as the owner originally wanted, he
has a
home with a view.
404 Maple Ridge Drive
This fantastic kitchen, designed by Jim Joyner showcases
the installation of
cabinets, tile floors, granite countertops and tumbled stone backsplashes.
You will see cherry wood cabinets that feature a Venice door style in
a
paprika with coffee mist finish. A special desk was custom designed and
absolute black granite countertops and appliances in stainless steel.
1702 Shady Grove Drive,
Another custom designed kitchen by Jim Joyner will show
you an escape to a
haven of luxury. Beautiful cabinets are complimented by a quartz countertop
in savona nuovo color with a waterfall edge. Laminate wood floors, profile
appliances and a trumbled stone backsplash will set this up as a true
dream
kitchen.
122 Rosemont
How about a sunroom? You will see a sunroom built under an existing roof
with lots of glass. This sunroom can be turned into a screen porch simply
by removing the glass panels. Custom transom glass panels give an
unobstructed view with enhanced light. Bring the outdoors inside.
125 Rosemont
Ultra Lattice is the ultimate shade cover! It is custom designed and allows
you to select the amount of shade you want. You will notice that the
lattice cover over this western facing patio adds additional shade from
the
evening sun. Look for the detail of the scalloped ends on the beams. You
probably will ask yourself whether it is wood or aluminum? The difference
is quite clear over time because you will never need to paint or repair
the
Ultra Lattice.
831 Monrovia St.
Wood-Mode¹s Brookhaven fine custom cabinetry to carefully create
a classic
design. This kitchen displays a hand-rubbed Vintage Jasmine finish
on a raised panel door style. Granite countertops were chosen to enhance
the Jasmine finish on the cabinetry creating a timeless design. Beautiful
glass doors anchor one wall of the Butler¹s Pantry. Like the kitchen,
a
computer area was custom designed to meet the homeowner¹s needs.
Personalized cubbies add a charming touch for each family member to store
their belongings. A matching wood countertop gives the desk area a
furniture look. The homeowners chose all KitchenAid appliances.
949 Delaware
You will see a complete transformation that took 23 months to complete
of
this cottage on Delaware in South Highlands to the French Eclectic design
you see today. Wood beams from an old sugar mill, custom created hardware
for the stable doors, fieldstone, unique lighting fixtures and home products
and gates from the now demolished Ratcliff estate.
558 Longleaf
Bring the outside indoors to make a garden bathroom a real retreat. Glass
french doors dramatically increased the lighting to the room. A chair
rail
molding was added to produce a unique effect against a light buff colored
paint on the walls. Wrap-around cabinets increase counter space and give
plenty of storage. Mirrors were put above the cabinets to add more to
the
dimension of drawing the outdoors inside, and glass blocks were used to
add
even more light but still allow privacy. You will also see a library that
has been created. Look for the cleverly concealed computer equipment.
4515 Clingman
A large new master bathroom with walk in master closet was added as they
moved the existing washer/dryer out of the kitchen and into a new utility
and laundry room. A kitchen extension that allowed the addition of a new
office area and breakfast nook. And a large deck area leading off the
master bedroom and breakfast area.
352 Cope Drive
Custom kitchen for you! Granite countertops, tumbled stone backsplashes
and
the best in stainless steel appliances. Cinnamon colored cabinets with
a
custom wood hood, a special island and a built in refrigerator with fluted
trim. A true chef's for the asking. A professional gas cooktop, speed-cook
oven, a warming oven and a wine chiller.
